Trio of Top 3 Performances for Rattler Runners

Addison Weir prepares to contest the W 600m at the 2025 ACAC 3 Kodiak Open track meet

The MHC Rattlers Indoor Track team was in Lethbridge on Saturday, along with six other ACAC schools, contesting ACAC 3 – Kodiak Open at the University of Lethbridge. The team managed three podium finishes in both individual and relay events.

Maddie Scrimger led the way for MHC with a silver medal run in the Women’s 1500m. In a controversial finish, where the runners were made to run an additional 200m lap, Scrimger was placed second behind Lethbridge’s Hannah Pilling.

Bronze medal performances were recorded by the Rattler’s Women’s 4 x 400m squad and the Men’s 4 x 200 team.

Collectively, the Rattler women’s team placed 4th in team scoring; the Rattlers men were 5th. Lethbridge Polytechnic was the top school in both genders.

Next up for the Rattlers is the ACAC Championships in Edmonton on March 15 and 16.
