The MHC Rattlers Indoor Track teams opened their 2024 campaign with fourth-place team finishes at the ACAC #1 – Concordia Thunder Open in Edmonton on Saturday.

Maddy Scrimger led the way for the MHC women recording individual wins in both the women’s 1500m and 3000m races. Scrimger, along with Brooklyn Kaczynski, Mitzuki Iwata, and Pyper Gill, also ran to a third-place finish in the 4 x 400m relay.

On the men’s side, Shintaro Iwata was the leading Rattler individual performer recording a third-place finish in the men’s 600m. The men’s 4 x 200 relay team, consisting of Iwata, Justin Jager, Colton Robinson, and Ryker Leipert, finished second in the 4 x 200m relay.

Red Deer Polytechnic topped the women’s team standings, while Lethbridge College took the men’s honors.

Next up for the Rattlers Indoor runners is ACAC #2 in Red Deer on Saturday, February 10.
