For the third consecutive race this season, MHC Rattlers runners Becky Ross and Maddy Scrimger racked up podium placements in ACAC XC action. The dynamic duo placed first and third respectively at ACAC #3 – The Kodiak Open in Lethbridge on Saturday. Ross blitzed the rolling 6 km course in a time of 24:16, 24 seconds clear of Cadence Laplante from St Mary’s University.

Collectively, the Rattlers women placed second in the team standings, behind the winning team from Red Deer Polytechnic. Lethbridge College was third.
The other MHC women taking part in the race including Mizuki Iwata (19th), Pyper Gill (22nd), Kabri Stickel (31st), and Annika Marshall (36th).
The MHC men placed sixth in the 8 km race. They were led by Harrsion Lawson in 22nd place and Shintaro Iwata in 26th place. Other Rattler finishers included Justin Jager (29th), Tristan Scrimger (30th), Gage Smith (34th), Spencer Wilson (36th) and Jon McKinley (44th).

Local Para-athlete Keegan Kolody placed 6th amongst the non-college runners in the race.
Next up for the Rattlers runners is the ACAC #4 – The Augustana Open on October 14 in Camrose.
